Art, Music, Science, Athletics & More for Every MVWSD Student!

About MVEF

The Mountain View Educational Foundation is a volunteer-driven non-profit that works in collaboration with the community to bring essential programs to all eleven Mountain View Whisman School District (MVWSD) schools. Public funding is not enough! We raise and distribute critical funds that the government does not provide, ensuring that all our students get a competitive, well-rounded education.

MVEF's goal is to raise $800,000 again this school year (2021-22) to support our schools! What MVEF will fund this year:

  • Music and Art:

  • Weekly classes by CSMA for TK-5th

  • Instrument purchases and repair for elementary and middle schools

  • Art supply kits for all elementary school students

  • Science:

  • Living Classroom instruction and hands-on plant science lessons at all elementary schools

  • Environmental science education with field trips in the 4th and 5th grade, plus one middle school trip  I

  • Elementary STEAM room supplies for hands-on and high-quality science education

  • Middle School Sports and Electives:

  • Interscholastic athletics including coaches, referees, and transportation to competitions

  • Middle school science and elective supplies for teachers

  • Teacher Stipends for Clubs

But what if we can do more? If we can exceed our fundraising goal by $300,000 in school year 2021-22, we will enhance learning for all middle school students by funding one additional English language arts teacher

to each middle school in school year 2022-23 dedicated to small group instruction or reduced class sizes.

Over seventy percent of our funding comes from donations from parents! These programs would not exist without your generous support. See how you can help!
