The Mountain View Educational Foundation is a volunteer-driven non-profit that relies on individual, community and corporate donors to fund essential programs for our students that would not exist without your generous donations to MVEF. Over 50% of our funds come from individual donors. We rely on YOUR generosity!

With a yearly goal of $750,000, the suggested donation is $500 per student. We strive for 100% participation from our community. Our district has significant economic diversity and gifts at all levels are appreciated. If you are able, we encourage you to give more than the suggested donation.

 

MVEF is proud of our excellent financial integrity. We rely heavily on our unpaid board and community volunteers to keep operational costs low. Last fiscal year, we spent 87% of our budget directly on programs and services - far above the national average for non-profits. MVEF is a 501(c)3 nonprofit so donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law (Federal Tax ID #77-0006770).  View our Annual Reports for details.

Your donations have:

• Provided well over 200 hours of art and music during the school day. 

• Sent every 4th and 5th grader to engaging, hands-on natural science field trips.

• Kick-started the Yosemite Capstone adventure and continue to spark innovative ideas.

• Replenished more than 200 hands-on science kits.

• Provided middle school students after school access to homework help and computer labs.

• Provided coaches and buses for nearly 20 middle school sports teams.
